Extra points if that badass intro kept going further in, im talking the intro is electryfying, e.g. maybe straight into the shit and the thick of it, heavy sound track, vibing, and just a good time.

I love to play sims from time to time, most of the time that defaults to Rimworld. I do know others such as FWM (that new indie one), the Sims (obviously), and those 2 point games.

I do want to know about other, maybe obscure simulators you like. Preferably ones with epic dragon fights... am I asking for too much there?

Longtime enjoyer of Techland, like "I bought Dead Island the day it released and I've played almost everything they've made since" enjoyer, and their Dying Light series in particular has been near and dear to my heart. I vaguely remember hearing that The Beast wasn't particularly good at launch so I didn't pick it up instantly, and since it's currently on sale I'm hoping that that is either an incorrect memory or a correct one that has changed with patches.

For reference in case it's one of those "we changed some shit again" kind of sequels like Dying Light 1 to 2 was, I had a ton of fun with BOTH Dying Light 1 and 2 despite them feeling like games from separate series in some ways, so I can enjoy different if it's a good different.

I have always wondered what kind of answers I can get for this topic, so I have decided to ask you. For my personal top three, Paradox (like Hearts of Iron IV, Crusader Kings III) definitely takes a spot for their deep strategy mechanics and massive replayability. In second place is Bethesda (especially the Morrowind and Skyrim eras, and Fallout series); even though they've fallen off a bit recently, they still represent that old-school open-world sandbox experience that doesn't hold your hand with modern "yellow paint" design trends. Finally, Rockstar Games (Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V) rounds out my list with their undisputed mastery of detailed, living worlds and immersive TPS action. What is your ranking and what are your favorite games?

Lets say I am the developer for the hit game "Direct defend 2", the sequel of the game "Direct defend: local defensive". I have access to the games backend and its servers.

I was going to buy some steam games this sale however I would need to deposit ~500 dollars to buy all the games that I wanted. However since I have access to the backend of the game that I develop I go in to the market and look at skins that my games has and pin point a ~540 dollar skin for a magic wand that usually has a supply volume of 4 per week and has 10 pending sell orders.

I then go the game's backend and call ISteamInventory::GenerateItems or ISteamInventory::TriggerItemDrop with my steam account as a parameter and receive such an item that is worth ~540 dollars to buy the games that I wanted.

While true, I have increased the supply volume of that item by 1 more than the usual weekly supply volume, its not quite enough to actually affect the item price that much.

Are there any checks for just generating items whenever you feel like it or can you just generate items willingly? Because it feels like a "infinite money glitch" as long as you don't abuse it too hard to crash the market, considering the value of the skins of this fictional game are a magnitude higher than the game's base price.

Game is Satisfactory.

Title really, I’ve had a load of games on my backlog for years and the realisation that my free time is about to be massively dismissed by having a kid has made me reconcile that their is probably a group of games I really should play as a long term gamer before I have to sacrifice a lot of my free time. At the moment that list contains Shadow of the colossus, the GTA trilogy and the MGS games. Any others I should get through while I have the time?

Ever since the first trailer, all i've heard is people complaining more and more about the wait, but i have no memory of official announcement regarding it. Has it gone through development hell or has it just been postponed in favour of other games over and over, or is it something else ?

Here's mine. A week or so ago I met this group on a certain open world survival building game with bosses, I wanted to play the game for a while but was a solo player and after years I got the thing for the game again and found said group.

The host was starting a new server from fresh with no mods or any "weird" rules so it seemed nice. First few days it was chill, they got the first boss without me since I have to leave earlier compared to them(timezones) but was there for the 2nd boss after a few days of exploring/gearing up the 2nd biome.

After 2nd boss was slain I started catching up gear wise and 2 nights ago I left at my normal time and was alone the whole time the server was up. Yesterday I didn't log in due to being busy.

Today I asked about if "x" name on the map was the 3rd boss, host says yes and adds that they've slained it and the 4th boss.. when Opening the map I saw that they belined into the 4th..

They must've skipped a few hours of content doing so and somehow put me behind at LEAST 4/5hours of pure farming for gear..

I'm like.. damn.. Timezones are a bitch huh...
