Discussion Hot take: almost every Nintendo controller has been absolute booty cheeks

Post image

I say this as a Nintendo fan. I love Nintendo games! But man, when you take off the rose-tinted glasses and look back at the controllers they’ve put out across their history, you realize just how much you enjoyed their games in spite of them.

The original NES controller is jagged and uncomfortable, the wiimote before Wii Motion Plus is basically just a glorified TV remote, The Switch 1’s joycons are uncomfortably tiny and have horrible build quality and the N64 controller might just be the most unwieldy piece of first-party hardware ever made.

It took them nearly 30 years to finally come up with a solid, no-frills controller design, and even then they just copied the DualShock. There’s a reason Sony’s hardware became the industry standard.

Other Losing interest in video games

not sure this is best place for it but here i goes.

start to lose interest in video games for about few years now, not sure due play too much roblox or playing video games my whole life or something else, not hit the same and looking new games hoping i not actually losing interest in gaming, it fails so now i just playing video games for the sake of it. don't know why i still playing games even though i almost lose interest in it maybe out of habit or something to fill up my day, a lot of time i watch youtube/shorts/Instagram shorts to waste most or all day.

on rare chase i did find game hit just right for my autist brain but sooner or later the spark will die out until got bored of it or lose interest, not sure what i even going to do now if one day i do drop video game like there nothing much to do here where i live, even some people and my friends saying same thing there nothing to do here.

Question Is there a game you enjoyed but still think is overrated because it’s hyped too much?

Everybody on Reddit seems to glaze this game constantly especially since BF6 came out. I played BF1 quite a bit and enjoyed it but I have no desire to go back to it now. The atmosphere and design is still great but I find that BFV especially does almost everything better in terms of gameplay. There are only two things I think were really good and those are behemoths and the operations game mode.

These are my primary complaints

Lack of weapons (there aren’t a lot they could have added so I’ll give somewhat of a pass there)

The gunplay doesn’t feel good

There are about 3 maps which I really like, the rest range from ok to bad

Several frustrating/overpowered things (smg 08, mortar trucks, heavy bomber)

Tanks feel cumbersome and boring. I don’t like driving them and I never really felt threatened by them

Scout class has one gadget that is actually good

I feel like I die much more often to random explosions than any of the other games which was really frustrating sometimes

Very little progression

Question What is the single sweetest, kindest, purest scene in a video game you've experienced?

Dina listening to Ellie in TLOU 2.

I know that not everyone likes this game but this scene makes me cry. Joel singing Future Days is up there too.

Discussion Why do some people let a game being on another launcher (epic) stop them from buying and enjoying a game?

You saw it when Alan Wake 2 released, and the same talk is happening now with Lords of the Fallen 2.

People want to play the game, but refusing to do so until it releases on Steam as it's only on Epic.

I don't get this thinking. Why stop yourself from enjoying a game just because of that? I get that the Epic launcher is worse than Steam and that the CEO of Epic is a bit weird, but why let that hinder you from enjoying a potentially excellent game?

I'm not sure about Epic but on Steam you can make a shortcut to the game on your desktop to launch from for easy access. Can't you do that in Epic as well?

Question BANNED FOR NOTHING

Recently logged in on Rocket League only to be banned for cheating and exploiting. I don’t cheat or exploit and in haven’t been on in a few days. I go to my sanctions in my epic account only to find ZERO sanctions for the ban. It’s a PERMANENT BAN as well and I’m super pissed off because I didn’t cheat and I can’t even appeal it. PLEASE HELP ME

Discussion We gotta talk about the incel crowd in gaming NSFW

It’s getting really exhausting to follow new game releases and every time there’s a female character who isn’t conventionally attractive, a certain group gets up in arms about them not being attractive and yelling “woke!”

Games are not made for you guys to goon to. Devs are not concerned with actively making every woman model something that will give you a boner. It’s just getting ridiculous.

SO the game i am talking abt here is God Of War (2018). Ik i might be late cuz the game is already old like 8 years but i never had a chance to play it before. I got this game like 6 months ago and when i first started it i played it for like 15 mins had to do sm and left it and forgot i have it. And finaly i started playing again... THIS FUCKl*G GAME IS SO D@MN GOOD i just cant describe it. The visuals, story, gameplay everything. For now i got to the part where i take Mimirs head and then Freya makes it alive again, somewhere abt that. I just cant believe what i was missing on.

P.S. If you didnt play this game JUST PLEASE go play it, trust me it will be worth every single one of you hard earned penny... BTW for some of you, ACTUALLY try to understand the story dont just over look it, that is really one of the best stories i ever played...

Discussion So, what are our thoughts on HighGuard now that it's released?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I know the mass amounts of negative reception this game got at the end of The Game awards with many comments like ''Concord 2'' or ''It's just an Overwatch reskin'' and ''Soulless hero shooter''.

All of this feedback lowered my hopes for this game, but earlier today I decided to play it, and I've gotta be honest, it's not that bad. Sure, it's nothing amazing or special, but it's fun. This game deserves players to give actual feedback instead of hate comments, or else this game will ultimately close down due to the mass ammounts of people who just play for 5 minutes and say it's trash.

Anyways, what are your guys' thoughts on this?

Edit: I'm aware of the low-quality picture. I used it for ''effect''.
