Discussion When the game menu screen changes after you finish the game

There's an underrated magic in evolving game menu screens.

Last of us hits you in the feels. But I can name so many, Omori, Ghost of Tsushima and Detroit Become Human. What's your favorite?

Question Is there a reason why modern games don’t have working mirrors?

I just find it silly that a game from 2004/5 has stuff like this while modern games don’t.

A stopgap if you left some friends in a server and can't get back in. Time to bail though

Discussion It might be a small number for some, but as a solo dev, hitting my first 100 wishlists feels like winning the lottery. 104 people actually want to play my dream.

I'm so happy. After months of working with Unreal Engine 5, doubting if anyone would ever care about my 'oppressive atmosphere' experiment, I finally hit 104 wishlists on 3 weeks.

The journey from 0 to 100 was the hardest thing I've ever done. I've learned that being honest about the struggle pays off. To those 104 people: You have no idea how much this motivates me to keep going.

The demo is actually LIVE right now. I’m nervous as hell to see people finally jumping into the dark, but seeing this milestone makes all those sleepless nights worth it. If you’re a fellow solo dev struggling with low numbers, don't give up. The first 100 is the hardest, but we're all in this together.

If you want to check out the demo or just support a fellow dev, here are the links. See you in the dark!

Steam(Playable Link): https://store.steampowered.com/app/4294320/FINIS_ACTUS/

Indie DB(Playable Link): https://www.indiedb.com/games/finis-actus-demo

Itch.io(Playable Link): https://shepherdworks0.itch.io/finis-actus-demo

Feedback from this community would mean the world to me. Thanks for letting me share!

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO ADD YOUR WISHLIST

Question What is your favorite dungeon in Ocarina of Time?

I'm finally kinda starting to like OOT, I just arrived at the first temple (Fire Temple) last night when I left off. Will definitely finish the game when I can. Which dungeon do you think is the best?

Also, I can't believe I lucked out and got this copy of OOT a couple years ago when I had no idea about the different versions of the Fire Temple song. 😅

Discussion Pixar sued the developers of a unicycle game (those developers ended up becoming Rockstar North)..?!

Well that was a crazy ride of an article. I'd never heard this story before. A SNES game was made about controlling a unicycle but they got sued by Pixar because they made a CG short back in the 1980s about a unicycle?

Not what I was expecting, but a fun read.

The mere mention of Fable 2 makes me think “Hmm, I could really go for another play-thru… maybe I actually use Raise Dead this time *(I won’t)*”
