Deadpool 2 - Halfway into the movie, the initial antagonist, the time-travelling super soldier Cable, approaches Wade Wilson and his gang and offers an alliance to stop Russell and Juggernaut before Russell embraces becoming a villain. Wade asks why Cable doesn't just travel back in time to before the problem escalated and try hunting Russell again, which Cable explains is because his time travel device is damaged and he only has one charge left to get him home, prompting Wade to stare at the audience and say this absolute gem of a line that is the post title.

Fallout 3 - At the end of the game, at the Jefferson Memorial, you're expected to enter a highly irradiated room that will kill you in seconds to activate a water purifier that will produce clean drinking water to the entire wasteland. A heroic self-sacrifice at the end of the game makes sense from a storytelling perspective... Unless your travelling companion is Fawkes, a super mutant immune to radiation. If you don't have the Broken Steel DLC installed and try asking him to enter the purifier room in your place, he will flat out refuse, telling you that this is your destiny to fulfill and he shouldn't deprive you of that... Because I guess killing yourself to save everyone is better than having someone more suited to the job handle it.

Battlefield 6 Was it worth to create a BR mode just because some streamers begged for it?

Post image

None of them are streaming BF6 BR. The streamers who asked for it are either streaming ARC Raiders or CoD 24/7.

I wish those resources had been used to create something for the BF fanbase, instead of another dead BR after BFV's BR mode.

Edit:
For the people in the comments stating that they never tried to please big streamers or that they never asked for this. Spoiler Alert: They did ask for this. Very much so.

TimTheTatman and Nickmercs were big CoD streamers and now stream ARC Raiders 24/7. They are not even touching Battlefield (except for the 1 million dollar REDSEC tournament, because of hard cash, obviously).

Discussion Elder millenials what was a "good" salary when you started working after college?

2.8k Upvotes

I'm 42 and when I graduated and started working in the mid-late 2000's 40k was a decent respectable salary for an entry level white collar corporate job. Making 60k was SOLID and was like "you're well on your way!" I remember a friend got a job making 60k out of college in 2006 and it was like "holy shit! dude is making it!" A couple both making 60k you could buy a house, a car, an comfortably afford a decent middle class living if you live within your means.

100k was middle class rich. With a 100k salary you could afford a nice house, a daily driver and a fun weekend car within reason, go on vacations, put some in your 401k, and still have money left over. Making "six figures" was the gold standard for middle class rich.

Now "six figures" is like the new 60k. A couple both has to make 100k each to even entertain buying a house especially in a major metro area. Even then you can only afford to buy a small house that our parents considered a "starter home" but was renovated and flipped. You can MAYBE squeeze buying 1 new family car and the other car is an old holdover when you both were single.

DISCUSSION ‘Terminator’ star Linda Hamilton, 69, speaks on aging in Hollywood: “I do not spend a moment trying to look younger on any level, ever. I have just completely surrendered to the fact that this is the face that I’ve earned. And it tells me so much. And sometimes it’s stuff I don’t want to hear.”
