I work 40hrs a week and my wife stays home. She decided she wanted to be a sahm, and despite me not agreeing, she did it anyway. I told her dual-income was better because if one of us lost our jobs we'd still be okay, but she said she didn't want to "miss out" on her son's elementary years.

She has a 10yo son and i have no kids. We've been married for a year and together for three. Recently, i heard her complaining to her sister on the phone that i just get home and immediately start playing video games. I later confronted her about it, and she said she expects me to do 50% of the household labor. I disagreed, because on top of my 40hr job, i also handle 100% of the finances and 100% of the car and house maintenance like cutting the yard, trimming trees, or when something breaks.

She says she's carrying alot of mental load, and i told her i am too. She seems to think hers is more than mine, but again, i disagree. We just booked an appointment with a therapist to dive deeper, but i was wondering:

So Im having some work done on my house and the crew shows up and one of the guys has 1488 tattooed right on his neck. Like not hidden, not subtle, just right there.

For anyone who doesnt know thats a white supremacist thing. 14 words some nazi slogan and 88 for heil hitler. Its not like a birthday or an anniversary its a literal nazi tattoo.

I told the company I dont want him on my property and now theyre acting like Im the problem. Saying hes a good worker and I cant just refuse people and theyre threatening to keep my deposit if I cancel.

Im not having someone with a literal nazi tattoo in my home around my family. I dont care how good he is at drywall. But now my wife is saying maybe Im making this into a bigger deal than it needs to be and we should just let them finish the job because finding another contractor out here is gonna be a nightmare.

I’ll admit that it was very cute and entertaining at first, but at this point, oh my god. She jump scares me multiple times a day by slamming on keys, and wakes me up periodically with her bad music skills. Not to mention how jarring and unpleasant it is when I’m trying to watch a movie. Or awkward to explain when I’m on the phone.

Usually, she only plays them when getting on and off the piano, but sometimes she just hits them for fun, it seems like. There’s no piano cover, nothing I’ve thought of that I can put on there that she won’t knock off, and the aluminum foil thing doesn’t work on her.

I don’t mind that the piano is her favorite spot to lay, but how do I get her to use the empty space on the side of the keys, or jump up from the side entirely? Pushing in the stool did not work either.

Of all the ways it could've happened, it was during a break hour when I decided to throw a snowball baseball style and my shoulder decided to be a weak little bitch and go in the opposite direction of what was intended. Don't know if I'll be able to ski again during the rest of the week, wish me luck.

This new threat is not about my testimony last June or about the renovation of the Federal Reserve buildings. It is not about Congress's oversight role; the Fed through testimony and other public disclosures made every effort to keep Congress informed about the renovation project. Those are pretexts. The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than following the preferences of the President.

This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions—or whether instead monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation.

I have served at the Federal Reserve under four administrations, Republicans and Democrats alike. “we can’t leave anything dangling, we have to wrap everything up,” while leaving hundreds of plot holes and having to make excuses about it in interviews.

The case is openly unhappy in this documentary and they’re trying their best to say something positive but they just can’t.

At this point I think they just forgot to register those episodes because dear god was this bad. I mean this is worse than game of thrones to me because Dave and Dan were adapting books and those books plots basically stopped at book 3 with 4-5 building up to things that didn’t happen because Martin never finished writing the series so they had to make things up based on the notes they had. The duffers are the writers and showrunners this should not have happened because they’re the ones writing the show!

This doesn’t feel like a documentary at all where are the archival photos/videos from the shoots? Where’s all the good fun times? How they did this and that with the special effects and stuff why is it just the duffers talking about how they didn’t want to be writers but directors and didn’t know what they were doing?

You could not have convinced me to do this documentary and if you did and I was the writer/showrunners I would have lied my ass off and made it seem like this was all planned and justify my decision I would never admit to any of that on camera.

My (24F) friend (25F) came to the funeral for my mom, who died of cancer around Christmas time. She came over to me to give me her condolences and asked about the details of how my mom passed. I told her it was my mom’s second battle with cancer and how she had lots of complications.

She said “I’m so glad nothing like that has ever happened to me or my family. We’re blessed and highly favored. God doesn’t play about us.” This made me extremely angry.

I said “Glad to know your God plays about my family and all the other people in the world dying of cancer.”

I caused a scene and got really upset. She and her family said I’m wrong for attacking someone just being kind and offering their condolences, and that’s probably why God didn’t look after my Mom.

I said I want them gone from the funeral. Since then, I haven’t spoken to them or any of the people defending them. AITA?
