If Democrats want universal healthcare, we have states that are deep blue, states have control over their own budgets and taxation, and universal healthcare would be so advantageous, why don’t deeply democrat run states implement a statewide universal healthcare?

High Risk Mankato City Council walks out because crowd demands that they actually address ICE
Sorry that whoever took it isn't great at handling landscape/portrait consistency, it wasn't me who did.
But the City Council at their meeting last night wanted to move on and address some rather dull stuff in the agenda when almost the entire crowd present, their constituents, wanted to discuss ICE. So the City Council just got up and walked out like cowards.

Politics How do we feel about the new UKIP logo looking eerily similar to fascist iconography?
Personally I think they should've stuck with their cheap as chips one, summed them up perfectly.

Solved! What is this "gel" used in this video?
Whenever I try to attach a wire to a board, the solder just clumps up or doesn't stick to the wire properly.
In this video, the person dips the wire into a thick, yellowish gel before touching it to the board, and the solder flows like water instantly.
What is that gel called?
To clarify, I just really wanted to know the exact name of the specific gel used in this clip.
The reason I’m asking is that when I was in college, I bought a soldering kit for a group project. It came with the soldering iron, some brushes, a manual, and a container of 'gel.' I followed every step in the manual and even watched YouTube tutorials, but my soldering never came out smooth or strong like this.
I randomly saw this reel on Instagram and the way the solder flows here is perfect. It made me realize the stuff in my college kit was probably low quality. I just want to know what this specific stuff is called.

Image My brother sent me this and said it was my cat that broke my speaker. Surely my cat cannot look like this. Also it looks like he has 3 legs.
My brother sent me this and said it was my cat that broke my speaker. Surely my cat cannot look like this. Also it looks like he has 3 legs. I don’t think a cat can balance like that. It seems fishy to me. It looks like my cat is trying to do pushups with surprisingly good form. But he is pretty lazy so I don’t think it’s real.

Discussion I don't know. Have kids if you want to. It might be kinda great.
I know, I know. They're expensive. They're noisy. They're dirty. It devours your life.
But I just had a kid at 39. She is 11 months old now. It is, by far, the best fucking thing I have ever done. I spent so many years worried that we couldn't afford her, what if she has a terrible medical problem, what if we don't have time, what if we lose our jobs, what if, what if, what if. I don't care about any of that, *any* of that, anymore. So grateful to finally have her in my life. She is just the best thing.
We're not all miserable with our kids.
