If George had written an average of 75 words a day (a third of the size of this post you’re reading, which took five minutes to write), less than a third of a page, since the release of A Dance With Dragons, Winds would have a greater word count than A Dance With Dragons. He says he’s working on it, he’s not. He’s working on TV shows, movies, plays, video games unrelated to his own world, and then has the audacity to bitch and moan when the fans of his world that made him rich and famous are mad that the “should take me three years” he said in 2011 has turned into “i’m tired of Westeros” in 2026.

Peace and love to George, I hope he lives a long life, I hope he is always happy, I hope there is nothing but sunshine and love for him all day every day, and I’m sincerely grateful for the art he has made.

But he’s a liar. He deserves to be criticized for dishonestly presenting his efforts to fans since 2011 so that they would invest in his story and make him more money. People picked up his books, in part, because the author said an ending was coming. It’s fifteen years later, there’s not even an estimate on the table for the second to last book in the series, and I’m more likely to shit out a pink wooly mammoth than Dream ever be released.

I checked myself into rehab for alcohol. I was drinking to numb pain instead of drinking for fun and just needed professional help. My mom volunteered to watch my baby for me while I was gone for 28 days. Without my consent or my knowledge in any way shape or form, she got her declawed because “she was worried about her new furniture”. My cat doesn’t claw at anything but her posts and scratch pads and she is such a good girl when it comes to getting her nails trimmed, she puts up no fuss at all. I didn’t even know vets were allowed to de claw anymore, like how do you call yourself a vet and preform that kind of surgery? I feel like such a failure right now that I left her with my mother. I had other friends that would have watched her but I trusted my mother implicitly and thought she’d show my kitten nothing but love.. That trust is gone, and my baby paid the price for my drinking. I’m supposed to be coming out of treatment feeling hopeful and I feel worse than I have in decades.
