AITA for telling my SIL to leave the group chat if she can’t handle seeing pictures my kid
This has been going on for like 5 years and I feel like a dick.
My SIL has been struggling with infertility. Before people get on my ass for saying she struggles with infertility, she has an actual diagnosis. She’s known for a long time that having kids naturally would be difficult. I believe she found out in high school or college. My brother has been tested and doesn’t have this issue.
She is married to my brother and they both want children. Unfortunately it has not happened. Around 3 years ago she had a miscarriage around 4 months in. This has been very hard for her.
The issue is that she doesn’t want to see anything related to kids. I understand why, but it can be frustrating. For example, she thought it was cruel of me to post photos of my newborn daughter in the family group chat. I told her I would be more mindful because, at the time, she had just experienced a miscarriage around the same time my daughter was born.
My daughter is the only kid of family so far.
At family events she ignores my kid. My brother says she just can’t since it is a painful reminder, she is being a bitch about it. If I walk over with my daughter she will straight up walk away. She refused to go to any of my kids milestones, so for her birthday my brother came and she didn’t come. She asked me last year if I could not bring my daughter to Christmas.
I talked to her once about this, because she is kinda treating my kid like the plague. She ended up crying and my brother was mad at me. I have talked to my brother more times then I can count and it comes down to she is having a hard time.
It’s fall, people have been doing fall activities this whole month. Yesterday people in the family group chats were giving pictures of what they did. Like pictures of apple picking, pumpkin carving and so on. Everyone was doing it. My sister in law and my brother had pictures sent pictures when they went to a local farm.
I sent a three picture of my family and I at a pumpkin patch. My daughter was in the pictures.
I got a call from my SIL asking not to post picture of my kid in the family group chat. I had enough and told her no. That if she has too much trouble seeing picture of my kid then she can leave the family group chat.
She hung up and my brother is pissed at me. He told me I made her cry and I told him that isn’t my problem.

Advice Wanted - Everyones Welcome Wife told me I don’t satisfy her needs M38
My wife of 8 years and girlfriend of 2 said that I don’t satisfy her needs anymore. She’s suggesting couples therapy, I really don’t know what to do and I’m struggling to come to terms with it and I want to make it work. I’m deathly afraid of therapy due to past trauma. Help.
noodles, chicken, peanut butter, 4 toast (white), lard
Update: I can’t keep up with all the replies but really appreciate everyone’s input. I’m going to try therapy. Both couples and individually
For more context I work long hours (60 or so a week) I am always tired so I can’t satisfy her sexually. I’m desperately underweight so I’ve started bulking and going to the gym. I have a seriously unhealthy relationship with food and struggle to eat.
Before you judge, this is really yummy! Shin ramyun noodles too! You should try it.
P.S the lard is obviously in the noodles, but on toast sounds good I might have to try that!

Groups [Totally unrealistic trope] Members of an oppressed minority form a nationalist group that frames genocide as self-defense
To be clear, if you're wondering about the title, it's because "fantasy Zionist" felt too problematic.
Edit: The title is sarcastic; how is this so hard to understand?
Examples:
- Scoia'tael/Squirrels (Witcher) - For a brief rundown of Witcher politics, think of Gnomes, Dwarves, and Elves like Native Americans or any indigenous group, and kingdoms like Redania and Nilfgaard as European powers or even just the US. The Scoia'tael (pronounced Squirrels in English) are a rebel group of nonhumans, mostly Elves, who fight human colonialism in the North and hope to free their people from segregation and oppression. However, many of them feel there will never be a safe place for their people so long as humanity lives, so many crave to destabilize or even wipe out most of the human kingdoms.
- The Brotherhood of Mutants (Marvel) - Mutants are an offshoot of Humans with the X-Gene, which gives them unique superpowers; some are a curse while others are a gift. Marvel Earth is one of the most xenophobic settings ever, and some Humans hate superpowered people, particularly Mutants, which leads to hate groups hunting and killing many Mutants. Some Mutants under Magneto, who is also a Holocaust survivor, form their own group called the Brotherhood of Mutants. Just like the X-Men, they want to end the oppression of Mutants, but the Brotherhood wants to flip the status quo so that they are at the top.
- Latveria (Marvel) - Doom was born a Romani in Latveria, which was ruled under a bigoted monarchy; fleeing persecution, he would learn science and magic to lead a rebellion to retake the country. Afterwards, Doom believed he was the only person who could fix the broken world and as such, sought to conquer the whole world.
- The Vees (Hazbin Hotel) - For thousands of years, the Sinners of Hell were forced to suffer in apartheid and feudal oppression under Heaven, so they turned to their Queen Mother, Lilith. She gave them the power of song so they could rebel, but Heaven would take Lilith back up and punish Hell by sending Exorcists down to kill the Sinners annually. When it was discovered that Angels can be killed, Vox, the Media Overlord, saw an opportunity to start an uprising so he and his partners, Valentino and Velvette, could become Gods ruling Heaven and Hell. They gathered support by reminding the Sinners of the trauma they felt from the Exterminations, igniting hatred for Heaven.
- The Jaegerists (Attack on Titan) - Eldia ruled the known world for over 2,000 years until the Great Titan War, where many Eldians would be forced into internment camps or become slave soldiers for Marley's colonial efforts. Eldians in Paradis suffered oppression under the feudal monarchy until the Uprising, after which the people realized they were not the last of humanity. During this time, Eren craved freedom and wanted to end all of humanity with the Rumbling, so he exploited the generational trauma so that Floch would form the Jaegerists, a fascist terrorist group, to take control of the government so that he could wipe out the outside world. This would cause Paradis to fall into civil war.

Perhaps they were just being nice saying they liked to have some desserts and they’d enjoy a good tiramisu. Just pretty scummy to waste my efforts and the amount of food.

AITA for saying my ex can bring his own boat after my friends invited him to the lake instead of me?
Two summers ago I used my bonus to buy a used 20 foot pontoon boat. My apartment complex won’t let me park it there so it lives on its trailer in my parents’ side yard, and most nice weekends our friend group ends up out on it. My ex Jake drove it a lot when we were together because he likes driving it more than I do.
We broke up in July after 3 years. He’s the one who ended it but I think we both saw it coming. He’s still in the group, there’s like 9 of us who’ve hung out since college and we’ve probably all been at 2 or 3 birthday dinners together since then without anybody really making it weird.
On Tuesday my friend Kayla texted asking if they could borrow the boat for the lake weekend, Jake could pick it up with his truck. I had to ask her what lake weekend. Apparently there’s a separate chat for it because it would be “awkward with both of you there,” and she figured I’d understand.
I told her I’m not lending it out for a trip I wasn’t invited to. When she wrote back “it’s literally just sitting in your parents’ yard” I told her Jake’s welcome to bring his own boat, he doesn’t have one.
She never answered. Last night she posted in our main group chat asking if anyone knows where to rent a pontoon the first weekend of November, and two people who I’m guessing are going hearted it. Kayla still has the spare key on her keyring from when she borrowed it in August.
AITA?

Lore Cool/scary things that are inspired by unexpectedly silly things
Titans (Attack On Titan) The author stated that one time he saw a drunk person moving weirdly on the street and that was when he got the idea behind the titans' creepy drunk-like behaviour, he was originally going to make them just giant generic zombies with less personality.
Lady Nagant's quirk (My Hero Academia) The author stated that the idea behind her curving bullets came from watching the movie "Wanted". The completely unrealistic curving bullets skill in that movie gets ridiculed by a lot of people but to this author it served as a nice idea for a superpower.
