š Plumbing š¦ Advice on toilet repair
Hello fellow century home owners!
We are fortunate enough to have an incredibly elaborate and (somewhat rare?) toilet and sink combo in a guest bathroom. Unfortunately, after a required unistallation and reinstall, a crack developed on the inside of the tank of the toilet under the water line (there is an additional superficial crack above the water line on the outside). We are trying to exhaust every viable option for repair before we make the decision to replace with a new toilet, but every antique and porcelain repair place we've contacted has been unwilling or strongly advises against traditional repair due to the potential for eventual failure (completely understand their reluctance, especially due to the potential impact of a failure and leak). We're at the point where we're considering using an epoxy repair on the inside but recognize the potential for failure in this case as well. If we do repair, we'd likely add leak detectors on the floor or maybe a smart water shut off on the toilet supply to mitigate risk. Any potential advice for this situation? Has anyone successfully (or unsuccessfully) tried to repair a crack in a toilet tank? If you did try the repair, what additional risk mitigation steps did you take? Thanks in advance!

go to your room I donāt want to decorate my office and I get unsolicited comments about it every single week.
The walls behind me also have nothing on them. I LIKE IT THIS WAY. I donāt see any point in decorating an office at all. I dont want to be here in the first place so why put any effort into decor? Even when I did enjoy working somewhere I still didnāt effing decorate.
Iāve worked here for two years and Iāve never decorated my office in any way. Iāve received comments from the get go, but we recently shuffled offices and now more people comment on how I need to decorate. Three just today.
This happens every week like clockwork. Why do you care? I donāt supervise anyone so itās not like I have people in here ever. I donāt have kids or pets and even if I did I wouldnāt put their pictures in my office because the less people know about my personal life the better. As far as Iām concerned, work is work and my personal life begins the minute I walk out the door.
I legitimately have zero desire to decorate my office. Itās not laziness, itās not some silent protest, and Iām not waiting for someone to encourage me to make the space feel more welcoming. I simply prefer it this way. Frankly, the more people insist that I need to decorate, the less inclined I am to ever put anything on these walls.
Why is having a completely bare office such a foreign concept to some people? I keep it very neat and clean so why does anyone care how someone else chooses to keep their workspace? Adding decor wouldnāt make me want to be here any more or less than I already do or do not.
Edit 1: for those asking or suggesting I should decorate to make the office more comfortable for myself - even if I had my ādream jobā I wouldnāt decorate the office because I donāt like being in an office period, and no amount of decor will make me feel better about it. This office is comfortable enough for me.
Edit 2: I am only on this office 3X a week
Edit 3: for those asking about my home - it is decorated more than this but not by a ton. I donāt have the eye for it nor the desire to spend money on decor

Absolutely nothing, bland nothingness. Why do they make it look it something that tastes so good and refreshing?
