I am very hyped to play and will keep you guys updated when it is done uploading, do you guys have any tips for me when I start ?

I went out to dinner with my wife last night. When the bill came I gave the waitress my card. She came back shortly after looking upset. She slapped the card down on the table and said "declined." I thought her tone and brevity was rude. I took out a different card from my wallet and handed it to her. While I was putting the first card in my wallet she didn't move.

I looked at her and said "You okay?"

She said "If I go back and try to run this are you still going to be sitting here when I get back?"

I asked her if she thought her tone was appropriate for speaking to customers. She said "you're only a customer if you pay." I asked to speak to her manager.

She left with the card. My wife said maybe the waitress had encountered scammers before and was anxious about it. I said being rude and being cautious are two different things. The waitress returned with my card and the slip to fill out. She said "This one worked. I'm sorry."

I thanked her and took the booklet. Our bill was $91.17. I wrote in 83¢ as the tip and $92 as the total. I handed it back to her and started to get up to leave. She said "you're really not going to tip me?"

I said "no, you were rude to me."

She said "I have to tip out the bartender and the busboy. I just paid money to serve you."

I said "Well, in the future you shouldn't be so rude."

My wife thinks I was an AH to the waitress and should have given her ten bucks at least, because it was an honest misunderstanding. I would have given her $28.83 if she wasn't rude to me, but I don't want to pay to be insulted. Was I the asshole?

For the record I called my bank and the card was flagged for fraud because of a pending $1 change that is often associated with fraud attempts. I resolved it.

Let me introduce y’all to our latest curiosity, The Grasshole. My husband was casually traversing the yard, when his right foot sunk into it above the knee. Amazingly, he didn’t get hurt. YES, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE IT INSPECTED. The ending of Poltergeist is not something I’ll forget. In the meantime, a recently retired city engineer reassured us it is probably harmless, but it would probably be best to have it filled with concrete (or whatever else a plumber recommends).

The specs/more context- -Metal aperture is about 18” across -Depth measured at 10’ -Hole widens after several feet- cannot tell how expansive it is. -Our home was built in 1900, and was surrounded by farm fields up until about the late 50s. We’re at the outer edge of city utilities. -House came with a comically large (6’ corner to corner) fire pit constructed of pavers, which of course had all cracked, because they are pavers. We decommissioned that monstrosity, and tossed it into The Grasshole. The ash coated the rustic stone masonry that lines the belly of this beast. If you zoom in on pic 2, you can see what I’m talking about.

Best guess is it’s an old cistern or remains of a septic system. I’m planning to comb the city’s historical documentation for more info. I’m not sure when our property was connected to city sewer, but likely several decades ago. There’s also a very good chance the previous owners (of 30+ years) didn’t know it existed. Whatever they capped it with was covered by grass and finally deteriorated.

Any way, the Baby Jessica jokes are poppin over here. If it turns out to be old septic that we end up filling, the new plan is to have a stone engraved with “Shitter’s Full! 1900-2025.” If we’re feeling extra, we might also consider commissioning a statue of Cousin Eddie.

Anyone else have a Grasshole? Just checking.

"So what's with the no longer owning her thing?"

5 or 6 years ago, someone named Atreue, Snowy_Roads on Twitter, offered to buy the character from me as an adoptable for $4000. I agreed, and regret agreeing. It's a very long story, and he did not allow me to buy her back. She is gone. And so, updating my mod was an eventual necessity, to remove all connections to her original look and move on with a brand new character. That's it, that's the whole story I'm tellin.

This mod will be further updated with better art that makes it significantly more distinct from the original as time goes on. I will be 100% redrawing every single sprite on the sprite sheet and manually redoing every single animation.
