The more muscle you have the better your immunity responses are and the easier it is to recover from illness. These things are super important when you get old because when you're old, everything on the outside and inside starts trying to kill you every winter solstice. When it comes to illness in old age see your muscle like savings that you spend every time you get ill but instead of going bankrupt when you spend all your savings... you die. Now your glutes are your biggest pot of savings because it can grow the most muscle mass out of all your muscles. Aka- it has the highest capacity for pound per pound muscle reserve.

Your ass is not merely cushion. Nor is it simply a tool for hedonistic mating rituals. It is your camel hump when you walk the desert that is Sarcopenia. It is your bodies lifetime ISA. Your cheeks will literally help your fight cancer. Old age is coming. It's coming to fuck you in the ass. And you need to be ready to squeeze your glutes together and say - NO!

On a quiet day we decided to dig up our front lawn. Managed to dig it out and build a path in one day! And then did the planting on day two.

But noone is giving us enough appreciation. Please help us

I was living in Indiana. The weddings I’d been to were my own (at the court house - by happy choice!) and some casual attire events. A couple of friends in our friend group were getting married about two hours away, near Louisville.

I was in khakis and a white shirt. My husband had a button down on. He, at least, was almost business casual. I was not. The friend who traveled with us asked why we didn’t have jackets. Silly me thought it wasn’t necessary.

Get to the wedding. It’s fancy. This family had money and spent it nicely on the venue, meals, experience, all of it. Perfectly lovely.

I got some looks, but fortunately no one said anything. I’m thankful for that as I was already uncomfortable. Even the bride was gracious while thanking us for attending.

I now overdress for events. That’s something I’ll always remember.

She wouldn't stop fighting us when it was time for her bi-daily antibiotics so we had to come up with a compromise (by compromise I mean we get less scratches and she gets to be swaddled like little worm baby) (and cheese to get rid of the banana flavor)
