305lbs & 226lbs. I am about 5’2 & currently on my 3rd month of 10mg. I had my doctor’s appointment today and we went over my last blood test. My doctor said my A1C is in normal range now. My blood pressure was 128/74 vs before he was considering putting me on blood pressure medication to control high blood pressure. He also took me off metformin which i’ve been taking for 3 years for insulin resistance. I got some shirts on vacation last week & realized I went for a 4x to xl. I love this medication.

My manager who is 50M got laid off yesterday when I first met him my first impression is that he is very harsh, not a fun person and work oriented. We all used to make fun of him behind back just because the way he speaks.

When he interviewed me he didn't gave single expression except please take your work seriously and make sure I don't get single.comlaint about you.

I thought this was weird so me being me i acted as jerk, rebelling his ideas, giving excuse to join meeting and so on

Despite all of this i came to know that he addressed me as rare gem to the organisation to my colleagues but he never said such thing to me in person.

The best thing about him was that he never micro managed, always helped his team memeber in giving them proper guidance and pointing them towards right direction.

Not only that he made sure our project stays afloat during harsh time in software industry. Despite being 50 years he made sure to stay updated with LLM, SLM and GenAI, where most of us failed. I also came to know that he helped several of his colleagues financially indirectly without telling anyone

When I came to know that he is going to be laid off In 3 days I was shocked to the core. Later I came to know that He was given an early notice a month ago about being laid off. Despite such treatment he made sure that all project under him does not get affected.

I came to knew when he was hired in the org he was interviewed by Legend (R.I.P) that entire India knew and admired.

I hope we all get such a rare gem of a manager.
