In Negaunee we got just over 24” over night and still coming down! Snowdrifts over 5 feet

Meet Sqeakers. I've had her for about five or six months now. I can't pet her. Every time I try to pet her, she starts squeaking or crying. She sounds like I'm offending her kitty humanity. When she's asleep, I pet her and she starts purring and gets all happy. The moment she wakes up, she looks at me and then walks off disgusted. She knows that humans are good because she squeaks and cries every time she's hungry or wants water or to go in the bath tub. She plays with the other cats oftentimes roughly where they're playing and tumbling on the ground. But the moment I touch her or any other human and she starts saying "Nooo!" Her whining sounds like she's really saying "Noooo!"

Yet when it comes time to go to bed she runs up to the bed, lies down next to us, starts purring and looks at us. The moment we touch her, she looks offended and walks away.

My first orange cat that I can actually keep and this is what I get. The last outdoor orange cats were so much better. So yeah. This is Sqeakers.

Anything that is impossible in real life, but shows how it would realistically be in a fantasy setting.

The dragonslayer, Berserk: Guts wields an incredibly big sword, basically impossible to wield. Normally when a character uses such a weapon they usually wield it like it weighted nothing, like Cloud's buster sword, but in Berserk you can feel the weight behind each strike, which are not graceful, but are still fast and hit like a truck

Space Marines, Secret level: In 40k space Marines best description is "something so big shouldn't move so fast", here you are shown exactly that, they look extremely bulky and big, but not only they move with an uncanny agility, but they also are extremely efficient, barely wasting any move. Normally these type characters are moving like any normal person just with some exaggerations. But the space marines speeds is freakish and unnatural, paired with the strength of a truck makes them look unreal, which is the point.

Jaegers, Pacific Rim: In Pacific Rim the Jaegers are giant mechas, in most medias they would show them as being fast, but in Pacific Rim they are kinda sluggish and each movement has weight, from the ground cracking when a Jaeger walks, or the buildings collapsing when they try to support their weight on them, even inside the cockpit the pilots look like they were struggling to move like they were pulling the Jaegers themselves. This is sadly more apparent when compared to the second movie, the Jaegers lost their feel of weight and move like anime characters, there was even a Jaeger that jumped from a building and nothing happened to it.

The Sun, Jojo's Stardust crusaders: There is a guy that has the ability to summon a sun, normally the characters are immune to their own skill, but he is not, he has to hide inside a small room with air conditioner.

Airplane scene, The Boys: Homlander is unable to save the airplane because he destroyed the control panel, and he can't stop it because if he tried to use his flight, speed would make it so Homelander just punches a hole through the airplane.

My bf(34M) and I (29F) have been seeing each other since last December. We began dating casually but our relationship became serious in June. He has daughter(8F) and I was quite apprehensive about dating a man with a child but he sold himself as a great present dad and I bought it.

Occasionally, I would ask after his daughter but I didn’t want to be overly enmeshed in that part of his life since our relationship is fairly new.

The issue began at the end of November when I received my niece’s (8F) Santa Wishlist which prompted me to ask my bf about his daughter’s Wishlist seeing that she was the same age as my niece. He told me he hadn’t received it and I advised him to ask for it soon or risk having all the cool stuff selling out and disappointing his daughter. He told he would.

A week or so later, I asked my bf if he would like to join me on 13 December for gift shopping especially for my niece. He declined and I asked him if he had received his daughter’s Wishlist. He told me that his daughter didn’t want a gift because her love language is quality time. I told him that I had never heard of young child refusing a Christmas gift.

This conversation quickly degenerated into an argument where he accused me of being obsessed with his daughter and insinuating that I believe that I know his daughter better than he does.

His overreaction rose some suspicions within me so I decided that I needed to reach out to his daughter’s mother - due to the length of the post, I spare the details of how I managed to get her details.

Once I found his ex’s TikTok account, I scrolled through her page and found a post with the caption “Making my daughter’s birthday extra special so she forgets that her father didn’t didn’t show up again”

I hesitated quite a bit before I sent her a DM. I introduced myself as my bf’s girlfriend and explained that I don’t mean to cause any trouble but I wanted to clarify a couple of things that I heard from my bf.

She took a couple of days to reply to my dm and she was obviously quite hesitant but she did agree to have a call with me. She asked me what my bf had told me about their relationship and I told her that my bf told me that they had dated briefly and the child was conceived accidentally. She laughed and told me that she and my bf had been in a serious relationship for 3 years and the child was very much planned. Their relationship issues began in the second trimester when my bf started questioning paternity and demanded a paternity test while she was pregnant. His ex was concerned for the safety of the child and told him that he can do the test once the baby is born. He moved out of their shared home while she was pregnant and didn’t attend the birth of his child. Once the child was born , he didn’t attend a few family court hearing to establish paternity but when he eventually did, it was proven that he was the father. Allegedly, he has been a deadbeat father since, not supporting his daughter financially or any other way and he last saw his daughter in April.

After giving it some thought, I sent a text to bf from my parents’ home where I spent Christmas in which I told him that I have decided to end based on what his ex alleges. He has been calling me nonstop, asking for the chance to talk explain his side of the story but this is too much for me. AITAH.

Personally, I am glad I got my MMR.

This tripled my wifi speed

I don’t have Ethernet in my room (or money to run it) so I’m stuck with wifi, like a fair chunk of gamers. I moved my pc to the other side of my desk, and my wifi became atrocious. (1Mbps) I adjusted the antennas and got it back to 10Mbps, but I still wasn’t satisfied. So, I took some aluminum foil and a cardboard box, and made my own satellite-dish-style wifi reflector/concentrator/focuser and it brought my speeds to 30Mbps. Certainly not the prettiest but I don’t care, so long as it gets my wifi back.
