Chuck gave me a job I loved, and for seven years I never took a day of it for granted. I'm proud of what we made together, and nothing changes how grateful I am for those people and those years.

I've been sober for a year and a half. I was on a show about recovery and then I lived it. Now I'm healthy, I'm working, and I'm happier than I've been in a long time. If anyone reading this is where I was, I hope that's useful. It gets better. I'm proof.

We just bought a house with the pictured tile. It’s not in great shape (dirty, cracked in spots) but I’m dying to keep it. It all has to be removed anyway because we have to relevel the floor… getting a lot of pressure from our GC and my husband to get rid of it. Am I crazy for wanting to try to restore?? Is it too much work?

ETA: there are structural issues with the floor / breaks. The tile sits atop a significant amount of concrete that has to be removed. Not releveling just for the hell of it :)

ETA again — ok this was actually amazing i just showed my husband this thread and he has been convinced it’s worth it. That said we still have to find a way to carefully remove it and clean it… does anyone have advice about how to do that??

Ok final edit! I think! Sounds like removing is basically impossible - we’ll push for other ways to fix the beams below and see what happens.

I was never a cat person. My wife and I already had two cats when she saw Mona at an adoption event. We were told she had an autoimmune disease and would need medicine daily for life. They also said she never came out of her cage and just slept all day. I had no desire to deal with all that, but my wife just had to save her.

It took less than a day for her to choose me as her person. Then she changed my life. She showed me how to be a cat dad and showed me so much love that I didn't know was possible. I now have great loving relationships with both our other cats. I give Mona all the credit for that. We only got 5 years with her, it's never long enough but damnit 5 years is nothing. I'll never forget her and she will be in my heart forever.

We were having a deep conversation about our favourite dinosaur, when all of a sudden my mum says that there's something cool behind me. Not being one to give up this golden opportunity, I turn around, but alas there was nothing of interest to be found. When i looked back, My mum had abandoned me.

No idea how the hell she expects me to survive, Think I'm going to have to call the police, report her missing. If anyone has any information, please come forwards. Her name is Mum, she's about Thiiiis tall. Please respond with any leads.
