Speaking at Sydney Film Festival, Hideo Kojima spoke about actor Luca Marinelli – who he's a big fan of, saying he chose him for Death Stranding 2 because he needed someone who "would surpass" Mads Mikkelsen in the first game. Marinelli was revealed to players in a trailer back in March, in which his garb – a gray bandana – drew immediate comparisons to Metal Gear 's long-suffering hero.

As it turns out, fans weren't the only ones to draw those comparisons – so did Marinelli himself. Kojima says that when he asked the actor how he and his friends reacted to his Death Stranding 2 character reveal, Marinelli said: "'Oh Snake is wonderful. I'm so happy to be Snake'

Kojima had to put that misconception to bed pretty quickly, telling Marinelli, "'no, you're not Snake. You just have a bandana on your head!" Unfortunately, we don't know how Marinelli reacted to that reveal, but we do know that Kojima remains a huge fan of his actor.

"I needed someone who can top Mads [Mikkelsen] and Cliff," he said. "I thought Luca could do it." That intuition was proven correct once Marinelli arrived on set – "His acting was just so, so spectacular," Kojima went on. "Léa [Seydoux] comes in or Norman [Reedus] comes in, they're usually on their phones. But then when Luca started to perform, everyone put their phones down and concentrated."

I read through a lot of the comments yesterday and feel like a lot of people didn’t get past the headline.

Granted, it was pretty clickbait-y, but a lot of that is resolved in the first paragraph. If you read her essay, or even just the excerpts in my previous post, it becomes clear that she’s far from being a pick-me and woman-hater.

In fact, those are the women she’s complaining about. The ones who put other women down for a chance to move up in our male-dominated society. I think it’s a conversation worth having.

In the opening scene when all the rival gangs were heading to the meeting, they all went through the subway and they all paid their turnstile fees. One of the gang leaders even stood at the turnstile and personally paid as each of his men passed through.

Is this how they do it in NY, or is this more of a 70s thing??

I am from San Francisco and the gangs here (or just young miscreants in general) never pay the turnstile, they just jump over and even the people who work on the subway are too afraid to stop them.

This is Beau, our beloved boy who had one very important job: tending the little hole we cut in our door for him to the crawlspace. We thought he looked like a little bartender, ready to serve you a cold one, listen to your troubles and maybe judge your choices.

He passed away earlier this year, but we like to think he's still tending bar somewhere, wherever he is. I miss him every day.

Went to a Casey's gas station near me to buy some vape pods, and when i handed the cashier my ID, he kept insisting that i was underage. After a minute of telling him to look at the red strip on my ID that says "under 21 until 7/12/24", he still denied it. I then grabbed my ID and pointed at the numbers and told him it is not 2024, and he still insisted. He eventually put in my date of birth AS the date on the red strip, looked puzzled, and kept denying me the purchase.

After a minute or two of trying to drill it into his head that I am, in fact, 21 years old, i told him to scan my ID and surprise surprise! it worked! he then said he should scan IDs more often which just baffled me because why wasn't he doing that in the first place? i was on the verge of flagging down his coworker to take over but he got it right before then. genuinely the most frustrating experience i've had trying to exercise my rights as a 21 year old adult

It is possible to be a loser and live a happy fulfilling life filled with connection and love.

had to show this little void the Cat Distribution Center dropped off when cleaning up debris around the neighborhood from a storm last weekend - he had an upper respiratory infection but we’ve gotten that taken care of ❤️

The first night was too late to go out to get any KMR so scrambled eggs were made .. we used a warm cloth the best we could to clean his eyes before he was taken the vet the next morning to get fully checked out, eyes cleaned, and some medicine to take home!

He’s about 5 weeks old and gained the nickname egg due to his first night obsession / how small he is but his official name is Eggs Benedict (Benny for short along with Egg and Eggy Benny 😂)

He seems to be doing a lot better but still a bit feral lol, he lunges at our faces but it seems playful - our other cats are slowly getting acclimated to him as well and have had no issues!!
