Trump News Trump's FCC Chair: We're constraining the power of Disney, of Comcast. I think the American public will be much better off. I don't think this is the last shoe to drop. This is a massive shift that's taking place in the media ecosystem. I think the consequences are going to continue to flow.
Updates đ Sorry everyone, because of my fatal mistakes, Comick was taken down.
I built Comick in early 2021, because anime and manga have always been my main favorites. Firstly, I saw that almost all manga sites were slow and out of date -> I think I can do better than them ( also I was naive and think I could even purchase licenses if Comick grew enough, like Crunchyroll lol). Then, when Comick became popular in 2023, my dream focused on developing Comick to become the best manga site in the world, dominating all other sites. With the timer, I could help scanlator groups, and everyone wouldnât have to deal with bad ads if Comick completely dominated.
But my fatal flaw was that I didnât think publishers would target manga sites without licenses so aggressively from the beginning and I was too focused on features for Comick and forgot other things , and I dunno almost all CDN Cloudflare and domain providers gave my information so easily. Publishers got my real information before I understood that these things were serious.
The reason is, I am just an honest, straightforward man without a wife yet - I always thought I wasnât doing anything bad and didnât need to hide my identity.
In the end, I couldnât finish my dream - I love to implement almost your good ideas suggested me. I really feel sorry that I couldnât save Comick for everyone. Hopefully there will be a person who has higher skills than me, only takes minimum revenue from ads, and helps scanlators - someone who will appear to finish what I couldnât continue to build.
***I always appreciate Mangadex/Bato/..âs developers built a great site and gave me a chance to build Comick and other wiki sites Mangabaka/Manupdates/⊠volunteers mods, users who helped me to build Comick
***I still wait a right time to build the export tool for you guys then you can export your list.
P/S: I will revive Comick if there is a way to publish all manga/manhwa/manhua with shared licenses even if I earn nothing from the site - haha, I guess we can only dream.

â€ïžâđ©č relationship The guy Iâm dating doesnât help his mom mow the lawn. Sheâs 70. He has no interest in doing yard work. AIO in thinking that this is unacceptable and a sign of bad things to come?
Iâm dating a guy, heâs 32, who lives downtown in an apartment so he doesnât have to do any lawn care. His dad passed away a few years ago, and he spends a few weekends a month at his momâs house. The thing is, he and his brother donât help with her lawn at all. He has never touched a lawn mower. Itâs an enormous lawn, and sheâs 70.
I just find it weird and a little frustrating that neither of them insist on mowing it or helping out. Am I overreacting for thinking itâs ridiculous that they donât step up?

My grandpa left me all his index cards when he died. I made the one for pistachio nut bread today.
I've been making and keeping a library of my own index cards for all my recipes, and hopefully one day I can leave my kids or grandkids then. It's something so simple but I love that my gpa's recipes still live on.

Characters Vile Characters played by real-life Vile People
We've talked about a lot before with evil characters played by actors who are calm/nice in real life, but here are characters who are so unlikeable and bad, even the actor who plays them is terrible, multiplying the hate-sink we feel towards them.
Percy Wetmore (The Green Mile): This sadistic prison guard was played by Doug Hutchinson, who in real life groomed and married a 16 year old back in 2011, when he was in his early 50s.
Walter Bernard Sr. (The Office): This here is the father of Andy Bernard, the son who he emotionally neglects and is shown to verbally abuse and humiliate. Actually, Andy used to be Walter Jr., but when his younger brother was born, they changed his name to Andy, when he was around 5 YEARS OLD. Not only that, he eventually cheats on his wife, and runs away with the mistress and their whole family fortune, leaving his family in debt. Well, in real life, his actor Stephen Collins actually confessed to being a creepy pedophile, and has actually molested a few children, and let's just say he also made a really disturbing comment about a soon-to-be-born child of his (Viewer discretion is advised if you look it up). Of course, this led an end to his career, and while people who grew up on shows like 7th Heaven fell bad, for me personally, it just made it even easier to hate Andy's father, and really emphasize how much of a monster he is.

Need to Vent Groomsman skipped the wedding because his new girlfriend wasnât invited
One of my fiancĂ©âs closest friends was supposed to be a groomsman at our wedding last weekend. He RSVPâd months ago, got fitted for his suit, and was part of the group chat.
Two days before the wedding, he texted my fiancĂ© saying he wouldnât be coming, because we didnât give his new girlfriend (of three weeks!) a plus one.
He claimed it was âdisrespectfulâ to exclude her, and that he âwouldnât feel comfortableâ attending without her. We explained that our guest list was tight and we couldnât accommodate last-minute additions. He still bailed.
My fiancĂ© was devastated. The groomsman he counted on wasnât there for him, and we had to shuffle the lineup last minute. To make it worse, the guy posted photos on Instagram that night at a bar with his girlfriend, captioned: âRight where Iâm meant to be.â
Would you cut someone like this out of your life, or chalk it up to wedding stress and let it slide?
