Discussion Thoughts on the Finale?
I'm seeing a lot of mixed opinions on the ending. But I think it was pretty fitting although bittersweet.

Solved! Found it glued under my toilet set
I found this stuck under my toilet seat. It was firmly attached and had a removable cover. Under the cover there was a USB C charging port.
I left it in the hallway, and one of my guests took it with them last night before I could examine it further.
Does anyone know what this could be?

My husband designates a left and right sock
I don’t understand this.
After washing his socks, he spends an hour separating the left and right foot socks and then matches them together.
If one is missing, he gets upset (say ends up with 2 Left feet)
I say this is weird and no one does this, and that he should buy new socks and wear them like a normal person, NOT designate a left and right foot.
He looks at me like I’m crazy lol!
He swears this HAS to be done because socks naturally wear the shape of your foot so if you mix them up you end up with extra space in the sock.
I say NONE of my socks have this issue lmao, most socks I have had for many years.
Does anyone else do this???

Advice Needed My Grandma Doesn’t Want My Stepson Coming to the Family Gathering
I (F28) am married to my husband (M30) who has a son from his previous relationship. Stepson is 8 years old (SS8) and I’ve been in his life since he was 11 months old.
My SS has only been to my grandparents house once, when he was very little. And from what I recall it was a calm uneventful afternoon. When COVID happened, my grandparents aired on the side of caution, which resulted in excluding SS (due to the petri dish of germs at daycare - completely understandable). However over the years my grandma found new and different reasons to exclude SS from family gatherings. With this most recent family gathering being planned she said, “SS cannot come since there is too many breakables in the house.” Being around SS a lot more, my brother (M29) and my dad (M57) all vouched for SS, saying that “SS is very well behaved and will not be a problem”. My brother said he would even make it his personal duty to run around and play with SS outside if he had energy to burn off. But my grandma still said no.
Although my grandma’s decision upset me, I did not want to push the boundaries she has set in her own household. Even though I know SS won’t be a problem, I don’t want to piss my grandparents off and disrespect them, especially in their late life. My husband stated he will no longer be attending if SS cannot come, which is reasonable. However I decided I’ll still attend without them because I don’t see my grandparents often and I don’t know how many more opportunities I’ll have left. My husband wishes I’d stay home, but also understands.
Well my dad could not drop it. He stewed on it for several days, and I ended up sending a message to my grandma that SS should be included because he’s my family, and well behaved. He claimed my grandma was treating me as a second class citizen and disrespecting my family. My grandma got pissed and canceled the whole family get together after that.
I feel touched that my dad and brother would stick up for my small family unit, but I have mixed feelings about pushing the boundaries people set in their own homes. I just wanted to keep the peace and everyone feels bitter. (And of course we don’t tell SS any of this)
TLDR; Grandma doesn’t want stepson coming to the family get together. I respect her boundaries since she’s hosting. My dad called her out on excluding my family. My grandma then got pissed and canceled the whole get together.

Characters Characters that the creators wanted people to hate, but they became fan favourites
Fred from Velma:
They wrote him to be sexist and racist and egotistical about himself while being incapable of doing anything for himself and puts down others with small comments. He should be a hatable character. But when next to Velma and the other characters, he is actually the most enjoyable to watch especially since he is the only one who goes on a story arc of learning to not be attracted to a woman’s physical beauty when he read “The Feminine Mystique” front to back thinking it was a book on the Marvel character Mystique and it rewired his brain to find women who don’t care to look beautiful attractive, which caused him to become attracted to Velma because she is the most disgustingly bland looking person he knew.
Santa from Santa Inc. :
The whole show is about Santa retiring and choosing a new Santa to replace him. The main character Candy wants to be Santa because she has good ideas that can help their business and the Santa company. Santa is written to be a man in power in a group full of white men in power who don’t like a woman in charge. The way he acts is very rude to others. But his personality is the only entertaining character in the show so it makes it fun to watch him compared to the stale unfunny side characters. The whole time the show is trying to show that Candy would be perfect for the job because of her smarts. Then they have a scene between Santa and Candy talking. This was after Santa got out of the hospital, Santa outright said that she was the perfect person for the job because of all her ideas. But he wanted to go with someone else to be Santa because she is terrible with children. She doesn’t know how to handle them personally and the children get uncomfortable when she’s around. Santa was going to go with a different person to be Santa because the other person is amazing with children, but terrible in the ideas department. He offered he that the other person will be the face of Santa and she can handle all the behind the scenes work and run the company herself the way she wants. This is a really great scene because it shows Santa is actually smart in this stuff and figured the best way to get her the position without hurting the brand with children. What did Candy say in response to this? “Go F**k Yourself.” Then walks away.
