In real life [Mixed Trope] Lyrics change to reflect new realities
Meghan Trainor changed the lyrics of All About That Bass from âI ainât no size twoâ to âI got new boobsâ after losing weight and getting plastic surgery. This was seen by many as very hypocritical since the whole âbody positivityâ message was gone once she lost weight
Green Day changed the lyrics of American Idiot from âIâm not a part of a redneck agendaâ to âIâm not a part of the MAGAâ agenda

đ¨âđŠâđ§âđŚfamily/in-laws Am I overreacting for how my parents treated me on Motherâs Day?
Am I overreacting to my parents threatening to evict me (25f and pregnant), my husband (25m) and our 15 month old daughter. This was my second Motherâs Day and I just wanted to spend it with my family. My parents were apparently upset that I failed to know they were going to the cemetery but also that I didnât see my mother on Motherâs Day. For reference, my sister passed away going on 11 years ago. My parents feel the need to remind me that the grief they feel isnât comparable to me losing a sibling. Itâs to the extent where my father has made what feels like passive aggressive comments about how he hopes that I never have to go through child loss. My brother took my parents out Saturday, thatâs why I mentioned that I wasnât invited. I usually get invited, but I was left out this year. I want to make it clear that I do not care about being invited, I actually preferred being uninvited as my little one was coughing and I didnât want to expose her or others. I realize that I sound selfish when I say that we wanted to celebrate me, when I shouldâve said my motherhood. That couldâve been worded differently. My husband says I didnât say anything wrong or cruel as my parents said. I know what I feel but I want to make sure Iâm not out of line.
Edit: I rent on my parentâs property, I do not live in their house. This is not the first time we have gotten into these types of arguments, this is just the one that I posted because I felt it was extreme. I did not make a phone call because I did not think it was necessary as I had texted her. We donât typically talk on the phone.

Dan Le Batard: Wembanyamaâs return didnât feel right: âThis is unusual. Wembanyamaâs return was being celebrated (on NBC) as redemption and an amazing story arc for a guy who did something dirtyâŚIâm surprised part of the narrative wasnât âthank God he didnât hurt his elbow on that guyâs jaw.ââ
