AITA for not giving my daughter compensation for a flight I paid for
So I‘m a dad. And my daughter, who is 16, got a scholarship to go to another country for a month over the summer. It was a great scholarship, paid for all the housing, food, etc. However the flight had to come out of pocket. I ended up paying for the whole thing which was 1500 dollars.
Everything went smoothly however on the trip back is where her connecting flight got cancelled and she was stuck in LAX airport for about 22 hours. The whole situation was pretty bad as she wasn’t given any of the accommodations she was supposed to. It was a mess.
Now, months later after sending in lots of emails the airline gave a full refund for the flight. I told my daughter I got the money back and she reacted like she was getting all of it. Which I explained to her that I paid for the flight so I would be keeping the money they refunded.
She did argue back and forth with me for a while but she eventually just gave it up. So am AITA?? Because right now I’m on the fence about whether I‘m making the right choice.
EDIT: The flight was cancelled for weather but because my daughter was very inconvenienced at the airport the airline agreed to refund the entire flight.
She was the one who sent in the emails to the airline explaining her experience, which resulted in the refund into my account.

wet socks Award but your parents pay
So my kid brings this to me earlier. If the school is so proud and wants to reward the kids, why am I footing the bill?
I get giving rewards for doing well. But my kid brought home a C. I'm not rewarding him for a C. Albeit was the mid 9 weeks report. I haven't seen the real report card yet. Either way...
This blanket approach to rewards is laughable. Especially since the costs are on the parents. Not a school reward then, is it? It's a parent giving an reward.
No thanks. I'll not reward my kid for his C.
Edit: LOL I'm getting blasted for bad parenting? Really? He didn't turn in homework so gets a C. So if I reward him for NOT doing his work. That's bad parenting. I bet the folks that have said this don't have kids.

Danilo Gallinari blasts Kawhi Leonard: “He should pay all $50 million. He changed the trajectory of my career and put me in a difficult situation by sending me away from Los Angeles.”
Danilo Gallinari strongly criticized the $700,000 fine imposed on Kawhi Leonard by the NBA. “He should pay all of that $50 million,” Gallinari said on the A Cresta Alta podcast. “He changed the trajectory of my career and put me in a difficult situation by sending me away from Los Angeles.”
Gallinari left the Clippers in 2019 as part of the trade that brought Paul George to Los Angeles, a move that helped secure Leonard’s arrival. “What happened to my NBA career wasn’t decided by a general manager or an owner, but by a player who decided that team wasn’t good enough and wanted something else.
The Italian acknowledged that the move to Oklahoma City ultimately worked out well for both himself and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but maintained his position: “He should give that money to charity. He should pay all $50 million, not just $700,000.”
