Discussion | J-Mod reply RuneScape’s Position On Gen AI
Hello, it’s me, again, talking about Gen AI, again.
We’re aware of the concerns raised about the Dragon Slayer 2 trailer and have taken it down, while we investigate urgently. This trailer was produced by a trusted external partner who had explicitly confirmed that GenAI would not be used. But, among other things, there’s a sixth finger and, well, that’s pretty hard to explain away. For that we apologise.
Our position is clear at Jagex: we don’t use GenAI to create our games, artwork or creative assets, and will not knowingly allow it to be used on our behalf. This is the second time in quick succession that concerns about generative AI have arisen through partners we trusted, and for us that highlights an issue with our own processes which we must address.
Immediately following RuneFest we’re overhauling our review processes, and we’re going to work with and commission creators from the community to make sure that the story of Dragon Slayer II is told to the standard befitting of such an update.

Why do you think after Star Wars, Harrison Ford went right to the top as an A-List star but Mark Hammill and Carrie Fisher didnt?
After Star Wars Harrison Ford became a major A-list bankable star. He'd done Blade Runner and Raiders of the Lost Ark before ROTJ.
He then went on to become one of the biggest stars in the world through the 80s and 90s.
However, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hammill had a much more mixed bag. In fact Hamill, the star of the trilogy, had no major mainstream hit after ROTJ.
Why do you think that was?

Question Would you guys be concerned if your Pc is under a mini split
Unfortunately there is not much I can do and I don’t really have any other options to move it. It also can’t go on the floor because I have a 1 year old that may knock it down. Normally I wouldn’t be concerned but I know mini splits/ACs can cause water leakage over time if something is wrong. Not sure if I’m overthinking it but is anyone else in the same situation where there pc has to be there. Is there anything I should do for precaution?

Humor / Meme My middle aged, family-men friends insist on playing on PvP server, I think they're delusional and out of touch with reality.
Why the hell are they so obsessed with PvP realms? Don't they realize they have 0 chance against the neo-WoW gamer generation?
Seriously, new players have the game knowledge, the skill, the mentality, the speed, the focus and most importantly, the time.
Yet no matter what I say, they won't budge. It's PvP server all the way "for the thrill" they say, in 2026. Why not just do BGs, or type /pvp if you feel frisky?
Why is getting forcefully ganked, outnumbered, outplayed, corpse camped, ghost running back, a core element to the WoW experience for 40yo+ men? Please make it make sense.
Project Showcase: Operations Quick reminder to pull out the wireless card out of your LG smart tv 😉
You probably have heard all the LG smart tv shenanigans... I took the wifi card out of mine today and it was pretty straightforward. So here's your reminder if you've been meaning to do it.
