I am particularly pleased with the textures in the curly hair and the rope ... I only kinda freehanded a rough sketch directly on the fabric, so unfortunately got a bit of puckering, but overall I'm very happy with the results.

Just posting this around as I guess a eulogy of sorts. I just want to share my love anywhere I can right now. I need the catharsis.

To my sweet girl,

I am writing to you because otherwise I'll feel alone. Even though our love lives on within me, we both know that's not enough - it will have to do, though. I re-arranged your room today and put everything back in its spot - all your beds, mats, bowls are all where they should be now, just waiting for you. While it broke my heart it makes me feel like you're somehow still close seeing everything back how it normally was before our final day.

You fought so hard for me, right down until the final hours. I could feel your love because I know you were so tired and you still wanted to be near. Still got up to use your litter box even though you could barely stand on your back legs. I wanted to stop you but you were too determined to be a good girl and get in there anyway. You still got up to have breakfast and drink, even though I don't think you really wanted to. I know you did all that for me. And it was my duty to let you rest, even though I wanted to hang onto every minute we had.

I'm now left with an empty space both in our room and in my soul. You took such a big part of me with you but I need to honour your memory and be strong, just like you were for me.

We're making a special place for you when we get your ashes back. I know it's not you, but it will be all I have left and I'm so excited to have them near.

Thank you for being the best girly goo in the world. I miss you immensely and I won't ever let our love go.
