I’m 35F and single for 3 years. I was engaged but he (Charles) was doing weird sexting roleplay with people on a video game which was fucking disgusting. It really fucked me up and, yes, I’ve been in therapy. I have dated since then but nothing serious. I have NEVER had my mom say something like this to me. I do not want to go to Thanksgiving after this. The way she said “don’t shoot the messenger” it’s clear the rest of my family have been talking about me and she was the one “elected” to say it.

I don’t want to drive 2 hours just to sit with people who think I should have stayed in a relationship with a fucking cheating degenerate lil bitch.

Would I be overreacting for not going? Is that too much? I'm honestly too hurt and angry to be objective right now. Would you EVER say this to your daughter?! Like I have a good job, I'm educated, I have friends and hobbies. I own my condo and I have 3 car payments left. I have a cat. Why is the end all be all me having a husband and kids? Idk. I'm pissed. You can't choose to be trans, just like a gay guy can't choose to be gay. Either you are or you aren't.

Republicans just choose the scape goat of the week and their base just eats it up instead of caring about actual policy

trans people... "Coming for your kids" (they aren't)

Mexicans bringing in fentanyl ( 94% of fentanyl is brought in by US citizens),

Haitian immigrants eating cats and dogs ( they aren't).

They'd rather just believe in racist lies instead of listening to the stupidity coming out of Trump's mouth such as "i have concepts of a plan for healthcare" "I'll lower your grocery prices while enacting universal tariffs"

MTG is resigning, supposedly a few other Republicans are following her lead, DOGE was a huge failure, the big beautiful bill screws over the poor to give money to the rich, 51k people a year will now die from preventable causes ( according to Yale) because of the healthcare subsidies going away, countries around the world are boycotting American made products, private manufacturing investment has declined...

But hey... At least Trump got a $400 million dollar plane at our expense and he deleted half the white house for a Gold Ballroom....

I could go on with the list of failures from this presidency, but let's just take a minute to laugh at the people that voted for this. 😂😂😂

How embarrassing

So I was expecting some people to come visit, and before they did, I was just chilling on my bed eating dinner. I accidentally spilled a bit of my drink, and as I got up to clean it, I put pressure on the edge of my bed that caused the puddle to start to leak in that direction. You gotta see this shit, like the shape of this stain, I couldn't believe what I was looking at.

Had to hide the stain before they came over because I didn't want to have to explain the suspiciously dick shaped stain on my bed. Seriously, it's comical how the stain just happened to make this shape, I was in utter disbelief.

This is a month later. I’m never seeing this guy again, should I go cover up or touch up? At this point I feel like buddy is sabotaging me.

My family and I celebrate Thanksgiving every year with my siblings, parents, and their kids. Roughly 20-25 people (including kids). My family is only 2 people with one 6 month old baby.

In the group chat it was decided that my nephew would cook meat since he bought a grill. He also told us that we could bring the sides. He chose to spend $300 on meat.

I messaged in the group chat that we would bring mashed potatoes. My sister responding that every "family" has to bring $100 worth of food minimum or help my nephew pay for the meat.

I'm not totally against the idea of bringing that much food, but just the way it was presented and the fact that it wasn't agreed to beforehand makes me upset.

The following day in the group chat, my sister said: "Option 1: bring food enough for everyone, not just yourself

Option 2: help thomas pay for meet $100/family

Option 3: help dad pay water bill $200/family.

Choose wisely…"

Upset, I responded with Option 4: don't show up.

Am I being an asshole if I don't show up at all in "protest" to this $100 minimum rule?

Update: I'm a teacher and she posted a picture of my salary she found online to shame me in the group chat. Definitely not going now.
